This piece was made during a phase where I was pretty adamant on painting squares. As I have mentioned before one of my favorite things to do is to paint squares using a palette knife. Everything about it for me is satisfying; the aesthetic, the feeling of actually painting it and the way it fits as a little part in a whole painting. The organic vine looking forms to me add an element of nature to the piece to add to the oddness of it. Floating squares and then some cascading vines with the touch of yellow. It is abstract but it can still give a vibe of the essence of nature especially with the green colors. It also gives a vibe of catching these forms in movement and as if this motif continues beyond this painting.
